Motor Vehicle Crash
Involving Serious Bodily Injury
On October 26, 2024 at approximately 9:28 a.m., a 2005 GMC Van operated by Julio Caizaguaman of Trenton NJ, and a bicycle, driven by Victoriano Choz of Trenton NJ, collided while traveling within the intersection of South Clinton Avenue and Chambers Street.
The preliminary investigation appears to indicate the bicyclist proceeded southbound into the intersection against the red traffic signal, and he was struck by the GMC Van. The GMC Van was traveling eastbound on South Clinton Avenue through the intersection which had the green traffic signal.
The bicyclist sustained serious injuries, and he was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The crash is being investigated by Officers J. Anaya and P. Welsh of the Hamilton Police Division Traffic Unit. Any witnesses to the collision are asked to contact the Traffic Unit 609-581-4024.
