Shade Tree Commission
About Us
The Shade Tree Commission's role is to provide guidance on the planting, maintenance, and management of trees and shrubs in public areas like streets, parks, and highways within the Township. However, it does not have authority over state highways unless approved by the State Department of Transportation, or over county roads and parks unless approved by the Mercer County Shade Tree Commission.
How to Join
If you're interested in joining the Shade Tree Commission, please complete the Township's Citizen Leadership Form.

Free Shade Tree
Would you like a free shade tree planted in front of your house? If so, please call 609-890-3645 or send your request to Rob Poppert by email. Please provide us your name, street address, telephone number and number of trees requested so that we may determine what species of tree is best suited for your curb side planting bed.
