Township Facilities Update
In
a continuing effort to gradually reopen Hamilton Township facilities, Mayor
Jeff Martin announced today that beginning tomorrow, Friday, May 22nd at 9am,
the Township will be reopening several Township amenities. All of our tennis
courts and our skate park will reopen; skate park attendance will be limited to
10 people at a time. The Dog Park will be open, with a limit of 10 persons in
the small dog section and 10 persons in the large dog section. There will be no
limit on the number of dogs present. Additionally, the driving range at our
Golf Center will reopen at 11:30am while the miniature golf course remains
closed until further notice.
The
Hamilton Township Animal Shelter & Adoption Center will be reopening to
volunteers by appointment only. Anyone wishing to volunteer may make an
appointment by calling (609) 890-3550 or emailing the new shelter manager
Donielle Killian-Gioia at dgioia@hamiltonnj.com. Due to ongoing
concerns regarding COVID-19, restrictions may apply to certain indoor volunteer
activity.
“We
take these steps today so more of us can get back to our normal, pre-COVID
lifestyle. We will continue to gradually reopen what we can while adhering
to the guidance of the CDC and our State and local health department. As
a township, we also continue to work with many of our local businesses,
especially our restaurants, so they can be ready to open as safely and as
quickly as possible. I thank you all for your patience as we go through
this together and I look forward to seeing you soon!”
Please
continue to practice CDC guidelines such as maintaining social distancing and
wearing masks to help slow the spread of COVID-19.
