Department of Water Pollution Control

The Hamilton Township Department of Water Pollution Control (WPC) operates a regional wastewater treatment facility with a capacity of 16 million gallons per day (MGD) and an average daily flow of 7.5 MGD in 2021. The Utility has been in operation for over 80 years and is currently serving over 100,000 residents from three municipalities with a collection system containing 350 miles of sewer lines and 27 pumping stations in its 40 square mile service area.
The primary mission of the WPC is to provide high quality user service while protecting the public and the environment. As part of our outreach program to the public, we offer tours of our facility to schools and community groups. We are proud to serve the citizens of Hamilton Township and the ratepayers of the WPC system.
