Please join Mayor Jeff Martin and all of Hamilton Township Municipal Government in congratulating our Hamilton Police Division on achieving reaccreditation from the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police and the New Jersey Law Enforcement Commission.
Nearly 43% of all law enforcement agencies in NJ have achieved initial accreditation and only 12% have achieved 2nd reaccreditation. This accreditation program is purposefully designed to enhance the professionalism and transparency in the state's public safety system. Accreditation embodies the principles of community-oriented policing. It creates a forum in which police and citizens work together to prevent and control challenges confronting law enforcement and provides clear direction about community expectations. This prestigious recognition allows the Division to grow the relationships already established within our community and reaffirms the Division's commitment to excellence.
