Mayor Jeff Martin and Assemblywoman Tennille McCoy joined community members and business leaders on Monday, November 10, 2025, to celebrate the grand opening of Bagel Bazaar’s newest Hamilton location.
Located in the Mercerville Shopping Center on Route 33, the new shop brings fresh energy to the former home of the iconic Fred & Pete’s — a cherished local landmark. The arrival of Bagel Bazaar continues the tradition of welcoming beloved food destinations to this well-known community hub.
For more than 30 years, Bagel Bazaar has been a Central Jersey favorite. Under the leadership of owners Paul Salas, Randy Peltz, and Dave Salva, the brand continues to expand, driven by a renewed vision centered on quality, service, and delivering what they proudly call the “Ultimate Bagel Experience.”
Bagel Bazaar’s roots in Hamilton extend beyond its storefronts. The company operates a major production and distribution facility right in town, where its bagels are baked and shipped to customers nationwide.
“At Bagel Bazaar, we believe that to be the best, you have to give the best,” said owner Paul Salas. “Whether you dine in or order online, our mission is for every guest to experience the Ultimate Bagel Experience.”
Mayor Martin celebrated the company’s growth and ongoing investment in the community, stating, “We’re proud to see Bagel Bazaar continue to grow right here in Hamilton. Their commitment to quality and local job creation strengthens our community, and we’re thrilled to welcome this new location.”
