Hamilton’s Fireworks & Concert Postponed Until Saturday, July 5th
Despite this morning’s sunny skies, the latest weather forecasts available are significantly increasing the probability for severe, inclement weather this evening, likely to begin just before this evening’s scheduled Fireworks and Concert celebration. Similar to last evening’s severe thunderstorms, this evening’s weather is very likely to include severe wind gusts upwards of 45-60 mph, the chance of hail up to 1” in diameter, lightning, and the chance for heavy rainfall from scattered showers and thunderstorms between 5 pm to 11 pm.
Therefore, based upon our concerns for the safety of our residents, as well as a need to provide a timely notification to both residents and event participants, Hamilton Township will postpone its annual Fireworks and Concert Celebration until Saturday, July 5th – when weather forecasts have a much higher confidence level for a beautiful evening in which Hamiltonians can enjoy this beloved, annual celebration.
On Saturday, July 5th, Hamilton’s Fireworks and Concert celebration will begin at 6 pm in Veteran’s Park (Kuser Road entrance).
Following the opening ceremonies, the Fabulous Greaseband will kick-off festivities with their concert performance, beginning at approximately 6:30 pm. Fireworks will cap off the evening, taking place after dark (normally after 9 pm).
As always, families will be able to can enjoy the food vendors, Veterans Park’s patriotic decorations and a night of fun for the whole community to enjoy together. Thanks to sponsors through Mayor Kelly Yaede’s Corporate Community Sponsorship Initiative, both the cost of the fireworks display and musical entertainment will be privately funded at no expense to taxpayers.
