Hamilton Mayor Jeff Martin Announces Business Administrator

HAMILTON, NJ – Mayor Jeff Martin announces Kathryn Monzo as the permanent Hamilton Township Business Administrator.

Monzo comes to Hamilton Township with nearly twenty years of experience in government having served as a Budget Analyst for the Department of Community Affairs, Chief Financial Officer to both Mansfield Township and Princeton, and most recently as the Business Administrator of North Brunswick.  While serving in Princeton, she oversaw the consolidation of the two municipalities. Monzo also has experience in the private sector having previously worked for IBM in the eighties.

“I am excited and eager to work with Mayor Martin and the incredible team he has put together to make a positive difference in Hamilton Township and to serve the residents, particularly during an unprecedented time in our history,” says Monzo.

Monzo earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and English from Rutgers University prior to receiving a Master’s Degree in Teaching from the College of New Jersey and later a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Rutgers University. She is a licensed certified municipal Finance Officer and tax collector.

“Hamilton has been fortunate enough to have had two incredible leaders in Missy Balmir and Mark Murranko serving in the interim,” says Mayor Jeff Martin. “I am very pleased to have Kathy join my administration.  She brings an immense knowledge in municipal government to help deliver quality services our residents deserve.”

Monzo will assume the role of Business Administrator on Monday, May 11, 2020.  The nomination will require, and is expected to receive, the consent of the Hamilton Township Council.
