Mercer County to Begin Strict Enforcement of Recycling Contamination Policy
Please be advised that beginning February 12, 2020, the Mercer County Improvement Authority will begin a strict enforcement of their recycling contamination policy. This new system and program will be phased in across town through the next several recycling collections.
If your bin contains any contaminants, it will be tagged with a red "Recycling Rejection Notice" and will not be collected. An example of this tag is below.

If you receive this tag, you are advised to bring your bins back to your property and correct the contaminants for your next scheduled recycling day.
