Statement from Hamilton Mayor John Bencivengo on Final Rendering of Justice to Osama bid Laden
Within the last 24 hours, we all have learned that Osama bin Laden, the architect of the terrorist attacks of September 11th, 2001, was rendered final justice by our brave United States military personnel. This result will hopefully bring a sense of closure for the countless Americans who lost family, friends and loved ones during the horrific attacks of that day. And it will hopefully honor the eternal debt of gratitude that we owe our brave soldiers who, since September 11th, have made the ultimate sacrifice to defend our nation against further acts of terrorism and sought to ultimately bring bin Laden to justice, once and for all.
Our thoughts and prayers will always remain with the families of victims of this tragedy and the families of our fallen patriots. And, it is our nation’s collective hope, that the entire world will be a safer place without bin Laden.
Today, we have placed additional American Flags in the front of our Township Municipal Building, in memory of those we lost on September 11th and those who gave their lives to prevent future attacks. Hamilton Township, and the United States of America will never forget your memories, your heroism and your lasting reminder to us all of how precious the gifts of life, freedom, liberty and peace truly are.
