Additional Township Flu Immunization Clinic Scheduled
(Hamilton) -- Hamilton Township has announced an additional FREE Township Flu Immunization Clinic which will take place on Wednesday, November 17, 2010, at Nottingham Fire House (location at 200 Mercer Street) between the hours of 5 pm and 8 pm.
The clinics are open to Township residents only as a courtesy, and proof of residency is required. This year's seasonal flu immunization contains protection from three different types of influenza including the H1N1 flu ("swine flu").
In addition to all adults, children over the age of 9 may also attend these clinics, but must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Residents who are homebound and physically unable to travel to a clinic can contact the Hamilton Township Division of health directly to schedule an appointment at (609) 890-3884.
Each year the influenza virus affects millions of people in all age categories, but it is especially dangerous to certain age groups and health groups. Flu immunization is recommended for anyone who wants to reduce the chances of becoming ill with influenza or transmitting it to others.
