The St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Hamilton has been rescheduled by the Hamilton St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee and will now take place on Saturday, March 25, 2017.

The opening ceremony for the parade begins at 12:30 PM at Nottingham Fire Company (on Mercer Street), while the parade begins at 1 PM.

Mercer Street is expected to close to traffic at approximately 11:30 AM.  Other traffic detours and road closures (including Nottingham Way and impacted side streets) will occur prior to the event.

The parade route begins at Mercer Street and continues to Nottingham Way and toward Mercerville’s “Five Points” intersection, ending at Getz Ave.

Therefore, residents and those traveling may wish to avoid the areas surrounding the parade route on Saturday, March 25, 2017, during the late morning and early afternoon hours.

Garbage collection for residents along the parade route will take place early that morning (prior to road closures).
