Job Fair & Business Expo in May

Whether it is seeking new employees or exhibiting products and services, Hamilton’s Job Fair and Business Expo is a great opportunity for all local businesses.

Mayor Kelly Yaede is calling on area businesses to sign up for Hamilton’s Job Fair & Business Expo – a joint effort by Hamilton Township, the Hamilton Township Economic Development Advisory Commission and Shop Hamilton -- which will take place on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 from 10 AM to 2 PM at Cedar Gardens Banquet Hall located at 661 State Highway 33 in Hamilton.  Admission to general public for this event is free.

Local for-profit businesses can register for an exhibitor table for $75, while non-profits enjoy a $35 per table reduced rate.  Event sponsorships are also available for $250.  Businesses can register online at: htedac.eventbrite.com

This year marks Hamilton’s 8th Job Fair, although the business exhibition component is a new feature for local business to showcase their products and services.

Additionally, a special part of the business event will be a special focus on employment opportunities for citizens with special needs, which is supported by Hamilton’s Commission on Special Needs.  This special effort will allow job seekers with special needs to discover job opportunities, in an inclusive setting, along with fellow residents.  Township officials believe this component may be the first of its kind.

“With all of the economic activity taking place across Hamilton Township, our Job Fair and Business Expo is a great opportunity for job seekers, businesses looking to hire new employees, as well as local businesses looking to showcase their products and services,” says Mayor Kelly Yaede.  “I am also very pleased that our effort will also provide a special focus on assisting our neighbors with special needs to help them find employment opportunities.”

In past years, Hamilton’s Job Fair has attracted upwards of an estimated 1,000 job seekers and has included a wide variety of participating business, jobs and economic sectors represented.
