Public Announcement from Hamilton Township
Hamilton Township is alerting all political campaigns that political signs placed on public property or public rights of way will be removed. The respective campaigns can pick up the signs at Hamilton’s Department of Public Works, but if they have to be removed again they will be disposed of.
“I understand the issue of Freedom of Speech but signs are not permitted on public property or public rights of way. In addition to being an eyesore these signs could pose a public safety hazard that the citizens of Hamilton should not have to endure or experience,” said Mayor Bencivengo. “I implore all the campaigns to adhere to the spirit of the law and consider all the citizens of Hamilton,” concluded the Mayor.
