8/21/2012 - Water Pollution Control Evening Work Notice at High Street and Durand Avenue

Important Notice to Affected Residents

The Hamilton Township Department of Water Pollution Control would like to notify you of the upcoming night sanitary sewer work at our pumping station at the intersection of High Street and Durand Avenue.  Work is scheduled to occur from about 8:00 pm to 2:00 am Wednesday night into Thursday morning, August 22 and 23, 2012.  This will not affect your sanitary sewer service.  The work involves replacing a valve on the pump station force main.  This work requires the shutting down the pump station and manually pumping the wastewater from the station to a location near the treatment plant.  This work must be done during lower sanitary sewer flow conditions at night and in the early morning hours.  The work crew will potentially be using loud machinery during these hours, including pumps, tanker trucks, and a jet/vacuum truck.  The work will be done as quickly as possible, and the noise will be minimized as much as possible.

We apologize for the inconvenience this work may cause and ask for your cooperation and understanding.  Thank you in advance for your patience as we prepare for much-needed upgrades to the sanitary sewer system that serves your home and your neighborhood.  If you have any questions, please contact me at (609) 581-4140 weekdays between 8 AM and 4 PM.

Very truly yours,

Richard W. Watson, Director

Hamilton Township Department of Water Pollution Control
