Azalea Festival set for May 13th – Mother’s Day

Hamilton continues its annual Mother’s Day tradition this May as the beautiful Sayen Gardens will once again invite visitors to enjoy its magnificent display of over 250,000 flowering bulbs, dogwoods, azaleas and rhododendron, along with its beautiful ponds, bridges and gazebos, at Hamilton’s Azalea Festival.

On Sunday, May 13th, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM families and friends can enjoy an array of crafters, musical entertainment, food and activities for children at the Azalea Festival in Sayen Gardens, located at the corner of Mercer Street and Hughes Drive (155 Hughes Drive).  Parking will be available for attendees at the Nottingham Fire Company parking lot, located at 200 Mercer Street, adjacent to Sayen Gardens.

Admission to Azalea Festival is FREE, and thanks to vendor fees and sponsorships collected through Mayor Bencivengo’s Mayor’s Recreation and Community Events Sponsorship Initiative, the annual celebration comes at no cost to taxpayers.

“Our annual Azalea Festival is a wonderful way to spend Mother’s Day with family, friends and loved ones,” says Hamilton Township Mayor Bencivengo. “It is a great opportunity to enjoy the picturesque beauty of Sayen Gardens – a true gem of our hometown.”

In addition, Azalea Festival attendees can tour the historic Sayen House, which is available for a variety of functions and gatherings, including wedding receptions, bar and bat mitzvahs, private parties, holiday parties, showers and business meetings and luncheons. Outside ceremonies may be arranged with special permission. The house can accommodate up to 110 people for dining.
