Whitehorse Avenue Road Resurfacing - end of April 2012

On or about April 30, 2012, milling and resurfacing work on Whitehorse Avenue (from Whitehorse Circle to Arena Drive) will begin through the Mercer County Department of Transportation.

During construction construction, this section of Whitehorse avenue will be CLOSED to through traffic from approximately 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weekdays only.

Southbound traffic will travel South Broad Street to northbound Gropp Avenue to westbound Arena Drive to Whitehorse Avenue (end of detour).  Northbound traffic will travel the same route conversely.

Motorists should expect delays in the construction area.  Emergency access and access for businesses and residents would be permitted during this time.  On-street parking would be restricted as needed.  Mercer County anticipates that this work will take approximately ten (10) working days, weather permitting.

Mercer County staff will post signs prior to the start date advising motorists of upcoming roadwork and detours and will continue with the local police and emergency response units. 

This project is being completed by the Mercer County Department of Transportation and Infrastructure.
