REMINDER – Sewer Payments Due – Payment Options

Hamilton residents and property owners are reminded that this year’s first-half Sewer Utility payments are due on Thursday, March 1, 2012.  However, Hamilton’s 10-day grace period to avoid interest gives property owners to the close of the Township business day on Monday, March 12, 2012, to make this sewer utility payment without incurring a late fee. 

After the close of the Township business day on Monday, March 12, 2012, any late payments will be subject to interest charges dating back to the actual due date of March1, 2012.

Unlike quarterly property tax payments, Hamilton residents and property owners are reminded that Sewer Utility payments are NOT automatically paid through escrow accounts (used for mortgage payments).  

Remember the Online Payment Options

Several online payment options exist for residents’ and property owners’ convenience.  These online payment options include:    

ü Paying Online with your Credit Card (note - there is currently a 2.9% service charge). 

Visit www.HamiltonNJ.com, and select the “Online Tax and Sewer Payment” button (green icon) on the right side of the Township homepage.

ü Pay via ACH Debit or Online Checking Account with NO Service Charge

Visit www.HamiltonNJ.com, and select the “Online Tax and Sewer Payment” button (green icon) on the right side of the Township homepage.

ü Also, Residents Can Sign Up for Future Automatic ACH Debit Withdrawals.   

Please note that this option takes time to process.  Therefore, residents and property owners who are not already registered for the automatic debit option can only use this option for future sewer/tax payments, and must pay either with a check/cash received by the close of the Township business day on Monday, March 12, 2012.
