Hamilton Township to Hold 3rd Job Fair for Residents as Part of Hamilton Business Week

Residents Can Meet Prospective Employers and Attend Career Development Seminars, While Local Businesses Can Find Workforce Applicants

Hamilton residents seeking new employment opportunities, as well as local businesses who are looking for potential employees, can once again take advantage of Hamilton’s 3rd Annual Job Fair.

Hamilton’s Job Fair will take place on Friday, May 13, 2011, at Nottingham Ballroom, located at 200 Mercer Street in Hamilton, between the hours of 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM.  Admission to the job fair is FREE for all Hamilton residents.

Hamilton’s Job Fair is part of “Hamilton Business Week” – a collaborative effort between Hamilton Township, the Hamilton Economic Development Advisory Commission, The Hamilton Partnership and the Hamilton Chapter of the Mercer Regional Chamber of Commerce to promote all of the economic opportunities that exist in Hamilton during the week of May 9th through May 13th.

Already, over 15 local businesses and career development organizations are scheduled to participate in Hamilton’s Job Fair.  And in addition to meeting with potential employers and taking part in on-site job interviews that day, Township residents can enjoy several career development seminars on topics including resume writing, effective interviewing techniques, small business workshops and Small Business Administration Loan Workshops.

Local businesses still have the chance to take advantage of this excellent opportunity to meet with prospective workforce applicants.  Hamilton’s previous Job Fair drew an estimated 1000 attendees, which gives local businesses an excellent means for finding potential employees.  Exhibitors can reserve a table for a cost of $100 by calling (609) 587-8679 or e-mailing DGrazian@sovergeinbank.com.   Checks are made payable to the Hamilton Township Economic Development Advisory Commission (HTEDAC) and can be mail to HTEADAC, P.O. Box 2926, Hamilton, NJ 08690.

Once again, local businesses can enjoy exciting advertising opportunities to help promote their organization at this year’s Hamilton Job Fair and help to financially support the event at a $250 sponsorship level.

“We are doing as much as we possibly can to assist Hamilton residents who are currently seeking employment opportunities, as well as local businesses who are presently looking for job applicants,” says Mayor Bencivengo.  “Together with our local business community, we are continuing to expand economic opportunities here in Hamilton Township.”

“Our past Hamilton Job Fairs have been tremendous successes, and this year’s event promises to be even better,” says John Strycharz, Chairman of the Hamilton Township Economic Development Advisory Commission.  “Mayor Bencivengo and the Township’s entire economic development team continue to focus on helping residents who are searching for employment, as well assisting local businesses in finding employees who can fit their organizations’ needs.”
