Free Rabies Clinic This Saturday
Hamilton Township will hold a free rabies immunization clinic for dogs and cats, which will take place on Saturday, January 22, 2011, at the McManimon Township Building located at 320 Scully Avenue, between the hours of 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM. As a courtesy, the clinic is open to Township residents only (proof of residency is required), and is free of charge.
New Jersey Department of Health Policy requires the immunization of dogs every 2 years, even if the inoculation is good for a 3 year period.
For residents utilizing this Hamilton Township service, all dogs must be leashed. As a safety precaution, dogs should be muzzled, if necessary. All cats must arrive in a carrier.
Residents are also reminded that Township dog licenses are due to the Township’s Division of Health by April 1, 2011. A 2011 Dog License will not be issued if a pet’s rabies immunization expires prior to November 1, 2011.
Dog license applications are available in the middle of the new 2011 Hamilton Township Municipal Calendars, which were mailed to all Township residents in late December, and are also available on the Township’s website: www.HamiltonNJ.com (on the homepage, under the section entitled “Notices”).
For questions, residents may call the HamStat Call Center at (609) 586-0311 weekdays between the hours of 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM.
