5/28/2010 - Free Rabies Clinic on June 2nd

Hamilton Township will hold a free rabies immunization clinic for dogs and cats on Wednesday, June 2, 2010, at the McManimon Township Building located at 320 Scully Avenue, between the hours of 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.  As a courtesy, the clinic is open to Township residents only, and is free of charge.

New Jersey Department of Health Policy requires that residents immunize dogs every two years, even if the dog’s inoculation is good for three years.  Also, 2010 Dog Licenses will not be issued if animal's rabies immunization expires prior to November 2010.

For Township residents utilizing this service, all dogs must be leashed.  As a safety precaution, dogs should be muzzled, if necessary.  All cats must arrive in a carrier.

Residents are also reminded that Township dog license applications for new pets are available at the Township's Division of Health located at 2100 Greenwood Avenue, next to the Municipal Building.  Dog license applications are also available in the middle of the Hamilton Township Municipal Calendars, which were mailed to all Township residents, and through the Hamilton Township website:
www.HamiltonNJ.com (under the “Living” section under “Dog Licenses).

For questions, residents may call the HamStat Call Center at (609) 586-0311.
