Hamilton's Dog Park Opening - June 3, 2004
On June 3rd, Mayor Glen D. Gilmore officially opened Hamilton's latest recreational attraction, a fully-equipped dog park. Set on a tract of land in Veterans Park, the fenced-in play area will be a place for dog owners to let their dogs off their leash and run free. The park is located about a quarter mile inside Veterans Park off the Kuser Road entrance. "There's something special about allowing a family pet to run off the leash and play in an area like Veteran's Park," he said, "It's a great experience for the dog and owner alike."
